Hotel Route Inn Grand Nakano Obuse, Nakano (Nagano)

The hotel offers free private parking for all guests, a practical advantage for those driving to nearby attractions. A 24-hour front desk provides flexibility for late check-ins and early departures, with key card access for room security. On-site laundry facilities and vending machines add convenience for longer stays or ski trips.

Rooms include air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a seating area with a sofa and table - spacious enough for eating dinner inside. Japanese Twin Rooms offer traditional tatami flooring with mountain views, while Single and Twin rooms cater to solo travelers and groups. Guests report the curtains blackout effectively, and the room size is adequate for storing ski gear.

The on-site restaurant serves a buffet breakfast each morning with a mix of Japanese and European options, noted by many guests as the best breakfast during their trip. Dinner is available at the same restaurant, though closed on Sunday evenings. Local restaurants within walking distance provide alternatives, such as a small place a few minutes away.

A hot spring bath (onsen) and public bath are available on site, with separate key card access for the women's area to ensure privacy. The onsen features multiple shampoos to choose from and is a recommended way to relax after skiing at Ryuoo Ski Park or Shiga Kogen. Guests appreciate the hot water after a day on the slopes, though the bath can become crowded during peak times.

The hotel sits next to the train station in central Nakano, making it easy to reach without a car. Jigokudani Monkey Park (Snow Monkey Park) is a 15-minute drive away, and ski resorts like Ryuoo Ski Park and Madarao are within an hour by car. Free private parking and proximity to local restaurants make it a practical base for exploring Nagano's natural attractions.
